From the very beginning, Maddy and Dan have never spent a day apart. After an instant connection, the couple are a testament to what true love and devotion looks like.
Brought together by a close friend; who insisted she play the role of Cupid, once the two of them met, they both knew in that moment that they had found their forever in each other. Maddy was completely smitten with Dan; he was handsome, and exuded a confidence she knew she wanted to know more about. Their first date together was filled with laughing and stories; there wasn’t a moment of silence between them. “Just being together felt right.”
A weekend away in the Hunter Valley turned into a trip of a lifetime, as halfway through an afternoon picnic Dan changed Maddy’s world forever. “Maddy, will you marry me?” Overwhelmed with excitement and happy tears, the two spontaneously picked a date for their wedding and began planning the magical day almost immediately.
Just when the pair thought their lives and their hearts could not be any fuller; they discovered they were pregnant. Baby Henry; the most beautiful little boy had graced their lives in a way they had never imagined. Just in time for their wedding day!
The big day arrived; and it was simply magical. Maddy recalls the best advice she received on the day; “stop, look around, embrace and enjoy every little detail and moment you are in.” Walking down the aisle to the man of her dreams to the song “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles brought so much happiness to that moment. The day had a particularly special presence about it, including the memorable ‘daddy-daughter’ dance that Maddy and her dad spent hours rehearsing, having all of their friends and family to celebrate their special day with them, and of course their personalised vows to each other.
“Maddy, I want the one night we’ve spent apart to be the only night ever, because every day that I’m with you I am my happiest. Wear this ring today so that every day, in every way you will be carrying part of me and my love for you.”
“Dan, thank you for the miracle of you and Henry, you are and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my person. Please wear this ring knowing that my wish is to grow old and love, laugh and make memories with you always. I am proud to be your wife.”
